Terms & Conditions

The terms on which you use this website and buy from Becoming Doula.

These terms apply to your use of becomingdoula.co.uk (“the website”) and to any services or products you buy from Becoming Doula, operated by Hannah Campbell, trading as A Journey Ahead Limited / Becoming Doula (“I”, “me”, “my”). By using the website or booking a service, you agree to these terms.

1. Who I am

Becoming Doula is operated by A Journey Ahead Limited, based in Manchester. You can contact me at hannah@journeyaheaddoula.co.uk.

2. The services I offer

I offer doula training, mentoring, 1:1 coaching, and done-for-you branding and website design services. Full details, inclusions and prices for each are set out on the relevant pages of the website. I may update, improve or change the content and structure of my services from time to time.

3. Booking and payment

When you book a service, you enter into a contract with me on these terms. Prices are as shown on the website at the time of booking. Some services require a deposit to secure your place, with the balance payable as set out at checkout or in your agreement. Where payment plans are offered, you agree to pay each instalment on the dates agreed.

For higher-value services, your booking may be confirmed through a separate proposal, agreement and invoice, which will also form part of our contract.

4. Cancellations and refunds

Your rights to cancel and receive a refund are set out in full in my separate Cancellation & Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms. Please read it before you book.

5. The nature of my services — important

Doula training and coaching provide education, guidance and support. I share knowledge, skills and mentoring in good faith, but I cannot and do not guarantee any specific outcome, income, number of clients, or qualification status. Your results depend on many factors including your own effort, circumstances and choices.

Becoming Doula is an independent training, mapped against the Doula UK core curriculum. It is not, and does not claim to be, an accredited or regulated qualification. Doulas provide non-clinical support and do not offer medical or midwifery care; my training reflects this scope.

6. Your responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate information, to treat me, guest contributors and fellow participants with respect, and to engage with training content in good faith. I want every space I run to be safe and supportive, and I reserve the right to remove anyone whose conduct is abusive, discriminatory or harmful, without refund.

7. Intellectual property

All content I provide — course materials, manuals, recordings, templates, brand assets, and website copy — is my intellectual property (or licensed to me) and is provided for your personal use in your own practice. You may not copy, resell, share, or reproduce my training materials, or teach my curriculum as your own, without my written permission.

For branding and website clients: on full payment, ownership of the final agreed brand assets created for you transfers to you. Preliminary concepts, working files and any third-party assets (such as fonts or stock imagery) may remain subject to their own licences.

8. Confidentiality

Doula and birth work involves sensitive personal information. Within training, you agree to keep confidential anything shared by me or other participants, and to uphold the same standards of confidentiality in your own practice that this profession demands.

9. Liability

I provide my services with reasonable care and skill. To the fullest extent permitted by law, I am not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for decisions you make in your own practice or business based on my training or guidance. Nothing in these terms limits my liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

10. Events outside my control

If I am prevented from delivering a service by something beyond my reasonable control (for example illness, emergency, or venue failure), I will let you know as soon as possible and offer to reschedule, transfer your place, or where appropriate provide a refund for the affected part.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the courts of England and Wales.

12. Changes to these terms

I may update these terms from time to time. The version published on the website at the time you book is the version that applies to your purchase.
