Hi, I’m Hannah Campbell.
Fifteen years of learning how women are seen - and how to change it.
Ten years in media. Ten years coaching women. And since leaving the corporate world, holding them through birth and matrescence.
Everything I do now comes from one thread that has run through my whole working life: understanding how people are seen, how trust is built, and how a story can change everything. I just kept aiming it at something more intimate.
A decade in media
I spent ten years at the top of the advertising and media world, building brands the whole country would recognise. I helped the BBC launch national campaigns for its dramas and sport. I worked with Dubai Tourism on luxury campaigns that ran across the globe. I built national names like Chester Zoo, and shaped how brands from high-street retail to childcare spoke to the people who mattered to them - directing millions of pounds of advertising spend along the way.
Then I went on to consult top independent agencies on how they branded themselves to appeal to customers.
What that decade really taught me had nothing to do with logos. It taught me how perception is built, how trust is won, and how the right words in the right moment can change how someone feels about themselves. I learned to see the strategy underneath the story - and that has never left me.
The coaching era that never left
The more senior I became, the more I found myself drawn to the women around me - talented, capable, and quietly wrestling with how they were seen and how they saw themselves. I began coaching women in the industry, and then, as my own life shifted, women moving through bigger transitions: identity, motherhood, matrescence, reinvention.
Some of the women I've coached have gone on to build businesses I'm genuinely proud to have played a small part in. I still do this work today. It's where I learned that positioning and self-worth are the same muscle - and that most women have simply never been taught to use it.
And then, birth work.
Becoming a mother reordered everything. I saw, up close, how differently birth can go when a woman is truly held - and how badly the current system is failing to hold her. So I trained, and I became a doula.
What I didn't expect was that everything before it would come with me. The strategist who understood positioning. The coach who understood women in transition. Both walked into the birth room. I built a practice that celebrity families, Olympians and women in the most demanding roles in the country seek out - specialising in home birth and VBAC, the births women are so often told they can't have. And I built it fully booked, on my own terms, replacing my media director's salary doing work I love.
I'm not interested in guiding new doulas who burn out and undercharge.
I've watched too many extraordinary women enter this work with all the heart and none of the scaffolding - no boundaries, no business, no sense of their own worth - and quietly fold within a year. I know exactly why it happens, because I spent ten years helping national and global brands learn the thing they were never taught: how to be seen, valued, and unforgettable.
Becoming Doula is where all of it comes together. The physiology and the fire. The presence and the boundaries. The sacred and the strategic. It's everything I know, poured into the women who'll go on to hold others.
This is the doula training I wish I'd had. - Hannah
